Julie Chen Moonves, who was one of the initial hosts and moderators for The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award award-winning talk show) She returned on in August for the 22nd season. The true passion of her life was writing and she was awarded an Emmy. Hosting an outstanding entertainment talk show won her another Emmy. From 2002 until 2010 Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. She was the anchor for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour of news during the early hours of the morning. Chen Moonves also covered the conflict in Iraq, among other major reports, for The Early Show. Following the 9/11 attacks, she was sent to Cairo and found the hijacker's lead father for a riveting and shocking interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. She also spoke with the former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani as well as Queen Rania. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter, who has profiled stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was a reporter with WDTN TV Dayton in Dayton in Ohio (1995-1997). Her previous jobs include working as a reporter at ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) as well as she was finishing her final year in university at the University of Southern California. Her first time working in broadcasting, as a Desk Assistant on ABC News' late-night show Nightline With Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains among her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel on the Columbia du-Pont-winning primetime special, Anatomy of a Riot that examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
