Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. She later worked as anchor of the morning news and as a crime reporter for WCBD-TV. O'Dell's reportage in Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases has led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston as a reporter, was a co-anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter on weekends. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of Pre-ShowArrivals shows to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She hosted both The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
